After a cremation, families have choices about where their loved one will rest. We’ll explain them gently and help you decide. Call any hour: (718) 424-2000.
Choosing an urn
Urns come in many materials and styles, from simple to ornate. Some families choose one urn; others choose smaller keepsake urns so several relatives can each keep a portion. We’ll help you find one that suits your family. You’re also welcome to bring an urn you bought elsewhere.
What to do with cremated remains
- Burial in a cemetery, which gives family a place to visit
- Keeping them at home in an urn
- Scattering in a meaningful place, where it’s permitted
- A combination, such as a main urn plus keepsakes
There’s no rush
You don’t need to decide right away. Many families take time before choosing where their loved one will rest.
