Memorializing One Year Anniversary of Covid-19

March, 2020 – March, 2021

Guida Funeral Home is honoring the lives lost to the corona virus and to all other loved ones lost this past year.  The Guida Family and staff will now and always remember the grief, pain and suffering that families had to endure. We were honored and privileged that we were able to be here to comfort you during this difficult time, and to deal with the unexpected, unplanned loss.

The death of a loved one is always difficult, but it is likely that the Covid-19 pandemic has made the circumstance of the death, as well as your family’s grief especially challenging.  There will never be any words that can possibly erase the pain you may be feeling at not being with your loved one during this pandemic, but it can be helpful to remember that a life is far more than its endpoint.  The life of your loved one was made up of millions of moments together before they left us, including laughter, happiness, joy and love which were all shared with them.

As you all know, hospital visitations, travel and gatherings have been severely restricted and because of this situation it has prevented families to be with their loved ones.  This has also affected funeral homes from allowing in giving the proper service that families deserve.  We also should not forget to thank and acknowledge all the nurses, doctors, and all health care services that were there with our loved ones. The endless hours and hard work in making sure that they were being cared for.

In memory of all those we have lost this past year, mother, father, children, grandparents, friends, etc….of all ages and race, rich or poor all over the world, the tragedy has affected all of us in so many different ways. This was a year never to be forgotten but also it should be where we now look forward and come together and unite.

The symbol of a candle light from Guida Funeral Home is to give us all the strength and hope to remain strong and to come together as a family. Our loved ones are now in heaven, at peace and have become our angels; they will pray and will watch over us, with the hope of a better future for us to come. We will continue to add everyone in our daily prayers as this was a time that cannot be forgotten.
