Lidia Genao

Lidia Genao, a cherished member of the Corona, New York community, bid farewell to this world on April 16, 2024. Born on May 5, 1928, in the Dominican Republic, Lidia's life was marked by love, laughter, and a deep sense of community. She will be remembered not only as a beloved mother but grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Arelis Genao, whose life was enriched by Lidia's unwavering love and guidance. Lidia's grandchildren, Veronica Genao and Pedro Jose Genao, held a special place in her heart, and her great-grandchildren, Pedro James Genao, Lucas Edward Genao, and Joaquin Jose Genao, brought her immense joy and pride.
Among Lidia's favorite pastimes were playing dominos and sharing conversations over coffee, which she would always offer to anyone who visited. Her laughter and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though Lidia has departed from this world, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace, forever cherished and remembered for the love she shared and the lives she touched.
