Eugene A. Carballo

Eugene passed away peacefully on September 27, 2022. Born in Corona, Queens, he was the son of Katherine and Eugenio Carballo. Gene lived his entire 81 years in Corona, Queens. He was loved for his persistent kindness, generosity and desire to help others. His radiant smile and welcoming spirit were contagious to all who knew him. Gene truly had a heart of gold and would go the extra mile for someone in need. He was an adored brother and an uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews. Gene was known as “uncle” Gene to friends and family alike. He touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Eugene worked as a sanitation worker in NYC from 1971 to 1991 and served in the military from November 18,1963 to November 11,1965. He led a wonderful life filled with love and compassion. He will greatly be missed by all.
