Lloyd Elliott

Passed on March 24, 2024

Mr. Lloyd Elliott was born in Kingston Jamaica, West Indies and grew up in Rae Town.
He was active in the Church since the age of 12. He was a very active Baritone in the church choirs. Mr. Elliott sang all over Jamaica West Indies. Upon his immigration to the United States of America to join his wife and children in 1972, he worked at the Airport until his retirement. He lost his wife Janet Elliott in Sept 1975. In Oct 1975 Mr. Elliott moved to the Forest Hills Cooperative Apartments. There he made a lot of friends. He was known and loved in the community as “speedy.” He was a very active church singer in Forest Hills. He always had his own unique way with the ladies. He knew how to make them smile. He was one of a kind. When Mr. Elliott entered the room, everyone knew, especially the ladies. Yes, that was him. Once a home health aide who was taking care of Mr. Elliott stumbled near his bed. Mr. Elliott said to the home health aide “ Darling when you fall, fall in my arms.” I don’t need to say any more. He passed in his apartment of almost fifty years on March 24, 2024 as he desired. We dedicate this simple Psalm he always read Psalm 23. He is survived by his son Don and daughter Donnette, three grandsons, beloved daughter in law and son-in-law. A beloved cousin George and his Wife Olga and more. That’s our Daddy. We love and miss him so much.
Rest in heavenly peace Daddy.
