Louis Riconda

Passed on June 24, 2026

In the early morning hours on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Lou Riconda left this world to be in the loving arms of Jesus. He fought the good fight for 84 years. He was many things to many people: Son, Brother, Friend, Husband, Dad, Father-In-Law, Uncle, Granddad and Papa, but most of all he was a good and faithful servant to God. He led such a purpose driven and consequential life. He leaves an incredible legacy. He overcame real adversity in his life and didn't just survive, he thrived. He was unique, intelligent, patient, kind, funny, generous, talented, reliable, dependable and loving. He had a servants heart. He was a great protector, provider, and cared deeply about his family. He is loved and missed more than words can ever express. His mission will continue to be carried out by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Lou is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 31 and a half years Joy Sunda Riconda, his daughter Adrienne Carosella and her husband Peter, his two sons Jonathan and Joseph, his grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Anthony and Christopher, and his sister Dolores Riconda. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Dolores (Gatto) Riconda, his brother Robert, and his son Louis Riconda Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Guida Funeral Home located at 47-20 104th Street Corona, NY 11368 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm.
