Gabriel Steven Malpiedi
Passed on May 26, 2026
Gabriel Steven Malpiedi passed away on May 26th, 2026, at the age of 75.
Gabriel was born on April 8th, 1951, in Queens, New York, to Stella and Michael Malpiedi. Stella named Gabriel in honor of the Archangel St. Gabriel. In his adolescence, Gabriel is remembered as being a happy young man with a strong affinity for cars and the Rat Pack. While other boys were interested in sports and other extracurricular activities, Gabriel was always tinkering with older cars. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett were always playing on the records when he was around. He graduated high school and went on to college, but his strong entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own successful contracting business instead of pursuing a degree. Being a proud Italian man, he would never wear dungarees but would instead wear crisp white shirts with an open line.
Gabriel will be remembered as a very loving, and caring man who cared about nothing more than his family. Whether it be his parents, his late brothers Michael Jr. and Dominic, his two sisters Lucille and Carmela, or his beloved wife of nearly 16 years, Marisol, and his stepchildren Ryan and Brandon — he would constantly invite them for dinner at fine Italian restaurants or host holiday dinners where homemade Italian food would be prepared with his wife Marisol and the true love of his life, Chocolate the Maltese. Originally, Chocolate was a gift to comfort his mother, Stella. After a few months, it seemed as if Chocolate had been a gift to Gabriel himself. Whenever life became rough, Chocolate was always the one thing that could bring a smile to his face.
He will be dearly missed by all of the people in his life.
He is survived by his wife Marisol, his two stepsons Ryan and Brandon, his two sisters Lucille and Carmela, and his nieces and nephews.
